Runic Wolf Necklace

Based on an old Viking stone carving design, this looping wolf pendant is a modern take on a traditional motif. Cast in stainless steel, the pendant measures just over 2 inches in length and comes on a stainless steel woven chain.

The mischievous wolf (madadh-allaidh in Gaelic) was once found across the Scottish Highlands, followed by several centuries of coordinated hunting by fearful locals. To the Norse, wolves were both noble, valorous creatures (such as Odin’s companions Geri and Freki) and agents of chaos (such as Fenrir, Skoll and Hati). In Scottish folklore the gullible Wolf is often paired with the cunning Fox. Despite the wolf’s best intentions, he always falls for the Fox’s devious tricks.
