Our Tartan Kilt Enamel Pin features a stylized Scottish kilt in vibrant blues and greens. This limited edition pin is cast in a silver-tone base metal with full color hard enamel. Each pin measures 1.125″ across and comes with a secure rubber pin back. Our pin manufacturer hand-fills each pin, so there may be some variation from pin to pin. A customer favorite!

The Scottish Kilt

In either the late 17th or early 18th century the small kilt (fèileadh beag simply philabeg) came into use over the standard great kilt. The new style featured a single width of cloth worn hanging below the belt grew in popularity throughout the Highlands and northern Lowlands by 1746. Over the next century, the pattern and pleats of the new, smaller kilt standardized into what we now recognize as the modern kilt.
