Our Iona Arches Kilt Pin recreates a historic piece of Scottish craftsmanship — a traditional silver kilt pin hallmarked in early Glasgow sterling. The original kilt pin recreates the soaring arches of the Abbey on the Isle of Iona. We intensified the level of detail in our recreation and cast the piece to be more durable, nearly doubling the weight of silver from the master. The hand-stamped texture gives the pin a rustic, yet elegant simplicity. A sturdy barrel clasp on the reverse ensures a secure wear for years to come. The piece measures just over 1.75 inches across.
A small island in the Inner Hebrides along western Scotland, Iona is best known for Iona Abbey. The Abbey — with its accompanying Nunnery — is one of the oldest Christian religious centers in Western Europe. Its tranquil, natural environment makes it both a tourist destination and a destination for spiritual pilgrims.
