Hand cast in Inverness in 1998 by a traditional pewtersmith, the figure is part of a large collection of original vintage pins we were lucky enough to secure. Now 25 years old, this fantastic piece has exceptional detail due to the level of craftsmanship used. We have a very limited number of the pins, and once they sell out, they are gone forever. The pin measures 1.5 inches tall and comes with a metal pinback for secure display. A County Argyle exclusive!

The Crann Tara

In Highlander history the Crann Tara (Scottish Gaelic for “fiery cross”) represented a rallying cry to call all clan members to arms. In practice, the Crann Tara comprised a burning or charred cross carried from town to town during times of battle. Widely used during the 1715 Jacobite rising, the tradition continued among the Scottish settlers in Canada during the War of 1812. In 1820, nearly 1,000 men of Clan Grant followed the Fiery Cross to aid of their Clan Chief in the town of Elgin.
