Argyle News: Update 2020

Thou Shalt Not Kilt

This summer (and perhaps longer), County Argyle is off the road until our favorite events come back online. We will truly miss each of you, and we look forward to catching up as soon as the nation gets back on its feet.

In the meantime, we want to be sure you have your favorite Scottish and antique treasures. Need something in a hurry? Check out our temporary online store where you’ll find some County Argyle classics and a few one-of-a-kind pieces. Need something special? Please contact us at any time and let us know what you have in mind. We have an entire store room of gifts that are custom-made for Mother’s Day, birthdays, graduations and more. Let us know who you’re shopping for and we’ll make a perfect match.

In the meantime, if you have a little extra free time on your hands, be sure to check out Bill’s first book, Thou Shalt Not Kilt, a murder mystery set among the Scottish families who have settled modern day North Carolina.

As soon as our calendar opens back up, we will be in touch. Until then be sure to sign up for our newsletter and follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

Argyle News: April 2020

With the month of April, the Scottish season swings into full gear with two of our favorite events. A fantastic art festival rounds out the Spring.

The month begins with the Dunedin Highland Games just outside of Tampa and continues north at the phenomenal Loch Norman Highland games. Located on scenic Lake Norman, the games are just one more excellent reason to spend a weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina.

If you’d like to see us in person, check out our calendar to find out when we’ll be in your area. If we’re not near you this month, just send us a note and we’ll figure out a way to get you whatever you may need.

The coming months promise to be some of our busiest, so stay on top of our new dates and latest items by following us on Facebook and Instagram. You’ll always be one of the first to know!

Argyle News: March 2020

Every year we swear we are taking it easy next spring. And every year we fill the calendar with incredible events anyway. This March, however, we have found a few weekends to stay at home while still hitting our favorite games, cons and fairs around the southeast U.S.

The highlight of our month is, without a doubt, the St. Augustine Scottish Festival at historic Francis Field. Be sure to see us at this Ancient City event for three days of Celtic music, amazing food and, of course, our Scottish heirlooms and handmade jewelry.

Argyle News: February 2020

Spring is just around the corner. Here in Florida, the sun is shining, the weather is cool and there’s no better time to stay local. Our vintage shop in Orlando’s Audubon Park will be fully stocked for Valentine’s Day, and we’ll be taking a few of our favorite treasures on the road with us.

During February, we are staying close to home. After a few days off, we will be set up at the Lovely Boutique’s Vintage Valentine event — just in time for the perfect, last-minute gift. You can also find us at Asheville’s inaugural Asheville Celtic Festival and Jacksonville’s Northeast Florida Scottish Games.

This month will find us all around the Sunshine State from the Florida Keys to Sarasota to Winter Springs (for our hometown event, The Central Florida Games!).
