With February on hand, our Spring schedule is just around the corner. Here in Florida, the sun is shining, the weather is cool, and there’s usually no better time to stay local. Several new events around the Southeast, however, have us venturing further from home this year.
For only the second time in 14 years, the Tallahassee Scottish Festival is back on the map with two days of Caledonian athletics and culture. We are truly excited to return to the town where we both met more than 30 years ago. The following week you will find us at the new Scottish Highland Games & Celtic Festival near Sarasota and Bradenton. Founded in part by the New World Celts, this inaugural event promises to be a fantastic launch. On the other side of the state, you can find us at Jacksonville’s Northeast Florida Scottish Games. Over the past several decades, it has grown into one of the state’s premier Highland events.
Looking for something new? Check out the amazing Asheville Celtic Festival. Only in its fourth year, the indoor Celtic Festival is a fresh way to enjoy Scottish heritage (and food and music and whisky) while staying nice, dry and warm! Plus, it’s an excuse to spend a weekend in Asheville, so what’s not to love?
If you’d like to see us in person, check out our calendar to find out when we’ll be in your area. If we’re not near you with our February schedule, just send us a note and we’ll figure out a way to get you whatever you may need.
The Spring season is always one of our busiest, so stay on top of our new dates and latest items by following us on Facebook and Instagram. You’ll always be one of the first to know!
